I don’t know about anyone else, but I am super-impatient when it comes to waiting for the next book in a series that I really like.  Apparently I am in good company, because the Eragon site Alagaesia. com has released a spoiler for Brisinger, the 3rd book in the Inheritance series, which is set to come out on September 20, 2008. Winners!

A couple of award winning books were announced this past week!
Stephenie Meyers’ book Twilight was voted as the 2008 Abraham Lincoln Illinois High School Book Award. This is particularly cool because all of the votes come from genuine Illinois high school students! Maximum Ride: The Angel Experiment by James Patterson was the second place book, and The Five People You Meet in Heaven by Mitch Albom was voted into third place. You can find a list of the 2009 nominees on the ISLMA website.
Equally as exciting is the announcement of the 2009 Rebecca Caudill award, which is voted on by kids in grades 4-8. This year’s Rebecca Caudill award goes to Drums, Girls, and Dangerous Pie by Jordan Sonnenblick. The Old Willis Place by Mary Downing Hahn finished second and MVP*: *Magellan Voyage Project by Douglas Evans is the third place book. A list of the 2009 nominees can be found on the Rebecca Caudill page.
